The patented Powerclenz automatic cleaning system (ONLY the 271) is unique in that by twisting a knob, the filter automatically cleans itself. Simply turn the tap to position "Clean", and the foam will be squeezed by up to one thousand pounds force through water pressure, forcing out pond sludge.
